Privacy Policy

Eastside Car Rentals collects personal information — including name, email address, phone number, and driver's license details — solely for the purpose of processing reservations and communicating with customers. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Payment information is processed securely through GoDaddy Payments and is never stored on our servers. We may retain booking records for up to 3 years for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at info@eastsidecarrentals.com.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time will receive a full refund of the security deposit. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time will forfeit the deposit in full. No-shows — defined as failure to pick up the vehicle without prior notice — will forfeit the deposit in full. If Eastside Car Rentals cancels a reservation due to vehicle unavailability or the renter failing to meet eligibility requirements at pickup, the deposit will be refunded in full within 5–7 business days. Early returns do not entitle the renter to a refund of unused rental days unless prior written approval has been obtained.

Damage Policy

The renter accepts full financial responsibility for any damage to the vehicle that occurs during the rental period, regardless of fault. This includes collision damage, glass damage, tire damage, interior damage, and damage caused by weather, road debris, or vandalism. All vehicles are inspected and photographed before and after each rental. Any damage identified at return that was not present at pickup will be assessed and charged to the renter. Damage costs will first be applied to the security deposit; any amount exceeding the deposit will be billed to the card on file. In the event of an accident, the renter must contact law enforcement, obtain a police report, and notify Eastside Car Rentals within 24 hours. Failure to report an accident may result in the renter being held liable for the full cost of repairs plus any associated fees.

Insurance Requirements

All renters must have one of the following in place at the time of pickup: (1) valid personal auto insurance that extends coverage to rental vehicles, or (2) the Eastside Car Rentals Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) at $18/day. Proof of personal insurance must be presented at pickup. The CDW reduces the renter's financial liability for physical damage to the rental vehicle but does not cover liability for third-party property damage or personal injury, damage caused by driving under the influence, damage from off-road use, or damage caused by unauthorized drivers. Eastside Car Rentals is not responsible for personal property left in the vehicle. Renters are encouraged to verify their personal auto insurance coverage before the rental period begins.

Terms of Use

By booking a vehicle with Eastside Car Rentals, you agree to the terms set forth in the Rental Agreement, these Policies, and any additional terms communicated at the time of booking. Eastside Car Rentals reserves the right to refuse service to any individual who does not meet eligibility requirements, has a history of vehicle damage or policy violations, or presents fraudulent documentation. Vehicles may not be used for commercial purposes (including rideshare or delivery services), off-road driving, towing, or travel outside the continental United States without prior written consent. Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of the rental, forfeiture of the deposit, and additional charges for damages or losses incurred. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute regarding charges, damage assessments, or any other matter related to your rental, please contact us first at info@eastsidecarrentals.com or 855-507-8963. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly. If a resolution cannot be reached directly, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, with proceedings conducted in New York. Nothing in this section limits your right to file a complaint with applicable consumer protection agencies.
